DETROIT (AP) -Ivan Rodriguez was a late scratch from the Detroit Tigers' lineup against Tampa Bay on Monday night.
Tigers manager Jim Leyland said Rodriguez was suffering from an ankle injury that he originally sustained in late July. The 14-time All-Star aggravated the injury during Detroit's weekend series against the White Sox.
Rodriguez is hitting .281 with nine homers and 50 RBIs in 91 games this season.
