DETROIT (AP) -Tigers designated hitter Sean Casey left Sunday's game against the Chicago White Sox after being hit in the left elbow by a Gavin Floyd pitch.
Casey took first base in the bottom of the third after being examined by a trainer. He left the game at the end of the inning with what the team called an elbow contusion. X-rays did not show any serious injury and Casey is day-to-day.
Craig Monroe pinch hit for Casey in the fifth.
