MINNEAPOLIS (AP) -Chicago White Sox center fielder DeWayne Wise left the game Thursday night against the Minnesota Twins in the seventh inning after being kicked in the head while stealing second base.
Wise slid head first into the bag and was inadvertently kicked by Twins shortstop Adam Everett when he leaped to take a high throw from catcher Joe Mauer.
He remained in the game through the top of the inning, but was replaced by Juan Uribe when the White Sox took the field in the bottom of the seventh.
There was no immediate word on the condition of Wise, who went 1-for-2 with a walk.
