NEW YORK (AP) -Pittsburgh Pirates left-hander Tom Gorzelanny left Wednesday night's game against the New York Mets in the third inning with shoulder stiffness.
After Damion Easley's RBI single gave the Mets a 6-0 lead with one out in the third, Pittsburgh manager Jim Tracy and a trainer came out to check on Gorzelanny. Tracy then motioned to the bullpen and brought in Tony Armas.
Gorzelanny gave up six runs and seven hits in 2 1-3 innings. He entered the game with a 9-5 record and a 3.20 ERA.
