HOUSTON (AP) -The Los Angeles Dodgers called up reliever Eric Hull from Triple-A Las Vegas on Monday and sent left-hander Eric Stults down to the minors.
The right-handed Hull was on the active roster June 1-4 but did not play in a game. He was 3-3 with nine saves and a 3.18 ERA in 38 relief appearances at Las Vegas.
Stults made his first start of the season – third of his career – in the finale of the four-game series against the Mets on Sunday. Stults went 5 1-3 innings, allowing two runs and five hits with no walks and didn’t get the decision in the Dodgers’ 5-4 loss.
Stults appeared in five games with the Dodgers and had a 4.50 ERA with 11 strikeouts in 16 innings since joining the team on July 4.
