NEW YORK (AP) -The New York Yankees signed right-hander Scott Williamson to a minor league contract on Sunday.
Williamson went 1-0 with a 4.40 ERA in 16 appearances with Baltimore this season and was designated for assignment July 4.
The 31-year-old also has played for San Diego, the Chicago Cubs, Boston and Cincinnati in his nine-year career.
