PHOENIX (AP) -The Los Angeles Dodgers signed former Chicago White Sox infielder Pablo Ozuna on Sunday and designated infielder Luis Maza for assignment.
Ozuna hit .281 in 32 games for the White Sox, his fourth organization, before he was designated for assignment on July 8.
“He hasn’t played a lot of second base, but he looks in good shape,” said Dodgers manager Joe Torre. “He’s got foot speed. He gives us an upgrade, experience-wise.”
Maza hit .228 in 45 games for Los Angeles.
