CHICAGO (AP) -Aramis Ramirez homered and had four RBIs and Jacque Jones had two run-scoring singles as the surging Chicago Cubs won for the 19th time in 24 games, beating Arizona 6-2 on Friday.
Jason Marquis (7-5) allowed four hits over 7 2-3 innings, including Chris Young's 15th homer, to get the victory and run Chicago's record to 7-1 since the All-Star break.
Brandon Webb (8-8) gave up five hits and three runs - two earned- in seven innings and is 0-3 in four starts since June 27. The Diamondbacks have lost 10 of 13.
Ramirez hit his 16th homer, a three-run shot, in the eighth off reliever Brandon Lyon.
Jones' RBI hits both came with two outs, one in the fourth, the second in sixth that made it 3-2.
