TAMPA, Fla. (AP) - The next rehab appearance for injured New York Yankees slugger Alex Rodriguez has been postponed by rain.
Rodriguez, coming back from hip surgery in January, was scheduled to play third base on Friday night for Class A Tampa, but the game was washed out.
Rodriguez was expected to be interviewed by Major League Baseball investigators Friday as part of the probe into the closed anti-aging clinic Biogenesis, which is accused of distributing banned performance-enhancing drugs. Rodriguez has said he used PEDs while with Texas from 2001-03 but has denied using them since.
A-Rod was not at Steinbrenner Field when Friday's game was called, marking the second straight day he did not speak with reporters. He also did not take part in pregame batting practice with the Tampa players.
