CHICAGO (AP) -The Chicago White Sox optioned reliever David Aardsma to Triple-A Charlotte after Wednesday night's 9-6 loss to the Baltimore Orioles.
The White Sox will make a roster move before Thursday's game against Baltimore.
Aardsma gave up three runs on three hits in 1 2-3 innings Wednesday night. He is 2-1 this season with a 6.40 ERA in 25 appearances. The right-hander has given up 21 earned runs in his last 11 2-3 innings.
It will be his second stint with Charlotte.
