CHICAGO (AP) -The Chicago Cubs recalled right-hander Rocky Cherry from Triple-A Iowa on Saturday and optioned right-hander Billy Petrick to the same club.
Petrick had just been called up from Double-A on June 26 and made two appearances. He was 0-0 with a 4.91 ERA in 3 2-3 innings.
Cherry will be in his second stint with the Cubs this season. He was 1-1 with a 2.89 ERA in eight games before being sent to Iowa on May 15.
