MINNEAPOLIS (AP) -The Toronto Blue Jays activated A.J. Burnett from the 15-day disabled list after Wednesday's game and returned Ty Taubenheim to Triple-A Syracuse.
Burnett, who is scheduled to start Thursday, came out of a game against the San Francisco Giants on June 12 in the bottom of the fifth inning with a sore shoulder. In 14 starts, he is 5-6 with a 4.00 ERA. He has pitched two complete games.
Taubenheim, recalled June 20 from Syracuse, started Saturday and allowed five runs in five innings against Colorado.
