CHICAGO (AP) -The Chicago White Sox activated Darin Erstad from the 15-day disabled list Friday before facing the Cubs in interleague play.
Erstad had been on the DL since June 1 with a sprained left ankle. The White Sox were 5-14 without him in the lineup.
Erstad, who has played mostly center field, is batting .264 with two home runs and 21 RBI in 47 games. He agreed to a one-year, $1 million contract with the White Sox in January.
