NEW YORK (AP) -Hideki Matsui returned to the New York Yankees’ lineup Friday night after missing two games because of a swollen left knee.
Matsui, who had the knee drained Wednesday, was fifth in the lineup as the designated hitter for the Yankees’ game against the Cincinnati Reds.
The Japanese outfielder entered with a .321 batting average, seven homers and 34 RBIs.
