ARLINGTON, Texas (AP) -Texas closer Frank Francisco says he is ready to pitch again in a game.
Francisco threw another bullpen session Tuesday and said afterward that he felt good. The right-hander hasn’t pitched in a game since June 3 because of shoulder stiffness.
Asked how his shoulder felt, Francisco flashed a thumbs-up sign and said, “money.”
Francisco likely will make a rehab appearance Thursday for Double-A Frisco. He is eligible to come off the disabled list Friday.
The bullpen session was the second for Francisco in three days.
Francisco has 12 saves this season and has allowed one earned run in his 19 appearances. He was also on the disabled list earlier this season because of right biceps tendinitis.
