CINCINNATI (AP) -The Texas Rangers optioned right-hander Wes Littleton to Triple-A Oklahoma on Saturday, opening a roster spot for right-hander Jamey Wright.
Wright was scheduled to start Saturday night against the Cincinnati Reds. Wright went on the disabled list April 13 because of a sore shoulder.
Littleton was 0-1 with a 4.15 ERA in nine appearances for the Rangers.
The Rangers also recalled right-hander Josh Rupe (sore elbow) from Oklahoma and put him on the 60-day disabled list. Rupe hasn't pitched since May 17.
