BALTIMORE (AP) -The Pittsburgh Pirates recalled right-hander Marino Salas from Triple-A Indianapolis on Friday and optioned pitcher Bryan Bullington to the same minor league club.
Salas made his big league debut with the Pirates on May 13 and earned the win with one inning of scoreless relief against St. Louis. He made six more appearances, allowing runs in the last four.
He was optioned to Indianapolis on May 29 and went 2-0 with two saves and a 2.93 ERA.
Bullington did not pitch with the Pirates after being recalled from Indianapolis on May 29.
Also on Friday, the Pirates announced the signing of three draft picks: ninth-rounder Matt Hague, a third baseman at Oklahoma State; 48th pick Owen Brolsma, a pitcher from Texas Tech; and 50th pick Craig Parry, an outfielder at South Dakota State University.
