 SAN DIEGO (AP) -Seattle right-hander Jeff Weaver was activated from the 15-day disabled list Saturday night and started against the San Diego Padres.
Weaver had been on the DL since May 11 because of shoulder tendinitis. It was his first career trip to the DL.
Weaver entered the game with a 0-6 record and a 14.32 ERA.
Weaver beat San Diego in Game 2 of the division series last year while with St. Louis.
To make room for Weaver, right-hander John Huber was placed on the 15-day DL, retroactive to Thursday, with a right forearm strain.
