ARLINGTON, Texas (AP) -Texas first baseman Mark Teixeira left Friday night’s game against the Milwaukee Brewers after the sixth inning with a sore left quadriceps.
Teixeira landed awkwardly on the first base bag when he was running out a ground ball.
He was replaced at first by Ramon Vazquez.
Teixeira has had a tough week with minor injuries. He suffered a mild concussion last Friday night against Seattle after he was hit below the left eye with an outfield throw while scoring.
On Tuesday night against Detroit, Teixeira left the game with a stiff neck.
Teixeira came into Friday game hitting .298 with 12 home runs and 38 RBIs. He has played in 507 consecutive games.
