MILWAUKEE (AP) -Aramis Ramirez strained his left knee and left the Chicago Cubs' game against the Milwaukee Brewers in the middle of the second inning Wednesday.
With the Cubs ahead 4-0, Ramirez grounded to shortstop J.J. Hardy and reached on an error. After Jacque Jones' inning-ending grounder, Ramirez walked gingerly off the field, accompanied by a trainer.
Mark DeRosa moved from second to third, Ryan Theriot went from shortstop to second and Cesar Izturis entered at shortstop.
