TORONTO (AP) -Toronto Blue Jays pitcher Shaun Marcum and first baseman Lyle Overbay left with injuries during Sunday’s game against the Chicago White Sox.
Marcum left the game after three innings with tightness in his back.
Starting for the fifth time this season, Marcum gave up three runs on four hits, including two home runs. He walked three – one intentional – and struck out four.
Overbay was hit on the left wrist by a pitch from Chicago left-hander John Danks in the third inning. He stayed in the game to run, but was replaced by Matt Stairs in the top of the fourth.
