ROME, Ga. (AP) – Tom Glavine looks ready to return to the Atlanta Braves after another strong rehab start in the minors.
The 305-game winner pitched six scoreless innings for Class A Rome in a South Atlantic League game against Augusta on Tuesday night. He allowed only three hits, struck out two and didn’t walk anyone in the 65-pitch outing.
Glavine, 43, has yet to pitch for the Braves this season after missing most of last season. He underwent elbow and shoulder surgery, then had complications in April while preparing to rejoin Atlanta.
