LOS ANGELES (AP) -The Los Angeles Dodgers activated right-hander Hiroki Kuroda from the disabled list to start Monday night’s game against the Arizona Diamondbacks.
Kuroda last pitched for the defending NL West champions on opening day at San Diego, going 5 2-3 innings and getting the victory. Two days later, he strained his oblique muscle during a side session in the bullpen. He made two minor league rehab starts, allowing seven runs over five innings in the last one.
To make room on the 25-man roster, the Dodgers optioned catcher A.J. Ellis to Triple-A Albuquerque.
