HOUSTON (AP) -Cincinnati Reds manager Jerry Narron was ejected by umpire Bill Welke just six pitches into Wednesday's game against the Houston Astros.
Norris Hopper led off the game with a double to left-center. Alex Gonzalez batted next and took two called strikes from Astros starter Wandy Rodriguez.
Narron complained about the second call from the dugout and Welke removed his mask, yelled something back and then threw Narron out of the game. Narron bounded out of the dugout to continue arguing for a minute, then walked off the field.
Gonzalez then singled to right to give the Reds a 1-0 lead.
Narron was ejected for the second time this season. He was also thrown out of the Reds' 5-3 loss to Cleveland on May 20.
