MILWAUKEE (AP) – A new attraction opening this week at the home of the Milwaukee Brewers pays homage to former team owner and retired baseball commissioner Bud Selig.
”The Selig Experience” at Miller Park is also just as much a celebration of the franchise’s history and a symbol of baseball’s rock-solid future in Milwaukee.
Selig is now MLB commissioner emeritus after a more than two-decade tenure ended in January. The Milwaukee native also spearheaded efforts to move the Seattle Pilots to his hometown, and the Brewers were born in 1970.
The Selig Experience recounts that story and Selig’s lifelong passion for baseball in Milwaukee. The Brewers say it’s a state-of-the-art tribute designed in part to tell the story to younger fans.
It opens Friday to the public.
