MIAMI (AP) -Philadelphia Phillies second baseman Abraham Nunez sustained a mild concussion Thursday when he was accidentally hit in the jaw by Florida Marlins catcher Miguel Olivo. The injury occurred with Nunez at the plate and Jimmy Rollins running from first base. Nunez swung and missed, and when Olivo threw to second, he hit Nunez with his follow-through. Nunez crumpled to his knees, then walked off the field. He was replaced by Chase Utley. |
