CINCINNATI (AP) -Cleveland Indians starter Anthony Reyes gave the wildest performance of his career on Friday night, then left a game against the Cincinnati Reds with an inflamed pitching elbow.
Reyes walked a career-high six batters and hit another during three innings. Sixteen of his first 20 pitches were balls. Despite the wildness, Cincinnati managed only one run, on Brandon Phillips’ sacrifice fly.
Reyes left after the third inning, having thrown 59 pitches – only 23 of them for strikes.
