BOSTON (AP) -The Atlanta Braves recalled infielder Martin Prado from Triple-A Richmond on Sunday and put right-hander Anthony Lerew on the 15-day disabled list because of inflamed nerves in his right forearm.
Prado batted leadoff in Sunday's game against the Red Sox. He batted .301 in 27 games at Richmond this season and .264 in 24 games with Atlanta last year.
Lerew started the first game of Saturday's doubleheader, lasting just two innings. He was 0-2 with a 7.71 ERA in three starts for the Braves this season.
