CHICAGO (AP) -The Minnesota Twins have purchased the contract of reliever Sean Henn from Triple-A Rochester.
Henn had no record, six saves and a 1.13 ERA in 15 games with Rochester. He appeared in four games with the San Diego Padres last season, compiling a 7.71 ERA.
The Twins announced the move before Tuesday night’s game at the Chicago White Sox.
Henn takes the roster spot of left-hander Glen Perkins, who was placed on the 15-day disabled list with inflammation in his left elbow after he recorded just two outs in a start against the New York Yankees on Monday night.
Perkins had an MRI exam Tuesday in Minnesota. Twins manager Ron Gardenhire expects the results to be available on Wednesday.
