CHICAGO (AP) -The Chicago White Sox reinstated infielder Alex Cintron from the bereavement list Wednesday between games of a doubleheader with the New York Yankees.
Infielder Andy Gonzalez was optioned to Triple-A Charlotte.
Cintron was put on the bereavement list Saturday for the second time this season because of illness in his family. He was hitting .128 with one RBI in 14 games with the White Sox this season.
Gonzalez was hitless in two at-bats with the White Sox this year.
