BALTIMORE (AP) -Alex Rodriguez says he’s focused on helping the New York Yankees regain their winning ways, rather than making up for mistakes in his past.
The All-Star third baseman came off the disabled list Friday and rejoined the Yankees in Baltimore.
Rodriguez has been on the disabled list all season since having hip surgery in March. The game at Camden Yards was his first in the majors since he admitted in spring training that he used steroids.
“I’ve made a lot of mistakes in my career. They’ve been well-documented. I’ve paid the price,” he says. “I think I have time to have a happy ending.”
