PHOENIX (AP) -Arizona second baseman Orlando Hudson had an MRI on his sore right hamstring and was out of the lineup Tuesday night.
The club didn't immediately release the results of the test, but manager Bob Melvin said he was optimistic the three-time Gold Glover wouldn't have to go on the disabled list.
``My feeling is it's only going to be a couple of days, if that,'' Melvin said before the Diamondbacks met Philadelphia on Tuesday night.
Augie Ojeda replaced Hudson in the lineup. Hudson was removed in the seventh inning of an 11-4 loss to the Phillies on Monday night. He's hitting .274 with three home runs and 17 RBIs.
Hudson missed the last month of the 2007 season after undergoing surgery to repair a torn ligament in his left hand.
