CHICAGO (AP) – White Sox general manager Rick Hahn says everyone is responsible for the team’s slow start.
Chicago had lost five straight entering Tuesday night’s game against Detroit. Expected to contend for the AL Central title coming into the year, it began the day in last place.
Hahn says everyone with the team is ”disappointed and frustrated.” He says ”We’re all accountable for where we sit right now.”
Asked about manager Robin Ventura’s job security, Hahn returned to his emphasis on shared accountability. He said: ”We’re all in this together.”
The White Sox got Adam Eaton back for the series opener after the speedy center fielder missed three games due to an illness. But he began the day with a .192 batting average.
