 BALTIMORE (AP) -The Cleveland Indians optioned left-hander Rafael Perez to Triple-A Buffalo after Saturday's game and recalled outfielder Franklin Gutierrez.
Gutierrez was placed on the 15-day disabled list April 1 with a left hamstring strain. He was activated April 13 and optioned to Buffalo.
Perez, who was recalled from Buffalo on Thursday, made his only appearance Saturday against Baltimore. He pitched three innings in relief, allowing three hits, walking one and striking out three.
