ARLINGTON, Texas (AP) -Chicago White Sox right fielder Jermaine Dye left Saturday night’s game against the Texas Rangers in the sixth inning when he was hit on the top of the left hand by a pitch from right-hander Luis Mendoza.
With two outs his team trailing 9-1, Dye was hit by an inside fastball and was down for several minutes before leaving the game. He was replaced by Brent Lillibridge.
Dye was 0-for-2.
