ANAHEIM, Calif. (AP) -The Los Angeles Angels called up Nick Adenhart from Triple-A Salt Lake, and the right-hander was scheduled to start Thursday night's game against Oakland.
The Angels also placed infielder Maicer Izturis on the 15-day disabled list with a strained lower back, and transferred right-hander Kelvim Escobar (shoulder) to the 60-day DL.
Adenhart was 4-0 with an 0.87 ERA at Salt Lake.
Dustin Moseley has been dropped from Los Angeles' starting rotation after going 1-2 with a 7.30 ERA in five starts.
