DENVER (AP) -The Colorado Rockies optioned right-hander Ryan Speier to Triple-A Colorado Springs and designated right-hander Bobby Keppel for assignment Sunday.
The Rockies also called up right-handers Denny Bautista and Alberto Arias from Colorado Springs. Bautista worked a scoreless 11th to get the win in the Rockies' 9-7 win over the Atlanta Braves on Sunday.
Speier was 0-1 with a 15.43 ERA in three relief appearances with Colorado. He allowed at least one run in each of his outings.
Bautista had no record and a 3.52 ERA in eight appearances for Colorado Springs, all in relief.
Keppel had no record and an 11.25 ERA in four relief appearances with the Rockies. He retired one of the two batters he faced Sunday against the Braves.
Arias was 1-1 with a 1.53 ERA in five games, two starts, with Colorado Springs.
