SAN FRANCISCO (AP) -Colorado Rockies manager Clint Hurdle was ejected in the first inning against the San Francisco Giants on Monday night for arguing a balk call.
With one out and Emmanuel Burriss aboard on a single, Colorado starter Franklin Morales was called for a balk that moved Burriss to second.
Hurdle was yelling at plate umpire Paul Emmel from the dugout when Emmel tossed him, then Hurdle hustled to the field and spent several more minutes arguing with the umpire before finally heading for the tunnel to the clubhouse.
It was Hurdle's first ejection of 2008.
