DETROIT (AP) -The Texas Rangers recalled right-handed pitcher Scott Feldman from Double-A Frisco and right-hander Kazuo Fukumori from Triple-A Oklahoma on Thursday.
The Rangers have allowed 29 runs in back-to-back losses to the Tigers, and threw 223 pitches in Wednesday’s 19-6 defeat.
Feldman gave up eight hits and three runs to the Toronto Blue Jays but got no decision in a 5-4 loss on April 13. Fukimori has allowed 6 runs in 1 2-3 innings over 3 appearances, but has thrown 5.1 shutout innings in 4 games for the RedHawks.
To make room, the Rangers put lefty Kason Gabbard on the 15-day disabled list because of a stiff back and optioned right-hander Wes Littleton to Oklahoma.
Littleton allowed 6 runs and got two outs in the Rangers’ 19-6 loss Wednesday night in Detroit.
