KISSIMMEE, Fla. (AP) -Former Tampa Bay catcher Mike DiFelice cleared waivers and accepted an outright assignment to Triple-A Durham on Thursday.
The Rays designated DiFelice for assignment Tuesday, when catcher Dioner Navarro returned from a stay on the 15-day disabled list.
Right-hand pitcher Calvin Medlock, designated for assignment last Friday, also cleared waivers and will report to Durham.
