MIAMI (AP) -The Florida Marlins optioned right-hander Scott Tyler to Double-A Carolina on Saturday night, two days after he was called up to the majors. The Marlins plan to recall right-hander Wes Obermueller from Triple-A Albuquerque to start against Washington on Sunday. Obermueller is 0-1 with a 2.45 ERA in three starts for the Isotopes. He last pitched in the majors in 2005, going 1-4 with a 5.26 ERA in 23 appearances with Milwaukee. Tyler, recalled Thursday from Carolina, has yet to make his big-league debut. |
