SEATTLE (AP) -Angels manager Mike Scioscia and general manager Tony Reagins are back in Seattle for Los Angeles’ night game after flying to Maryland to honor Nick Adenhart.
Team owner Arte Moreno arranged for a jet fly him, the manager, GM, Angels pitchers Jered Weaver, Dustin Moseley and John Lackey and a team executive late Wednesday night to a private service Thursday for the 22-year-old Adenhart.
The rookie right-handed pitcher died last week in Fullerton, Calif., in an automobile accident hours after his first start of the season.
Scioscia arrived back at Safeco Field about three hours before the game. He declined to comment on the service, saying he wanted to keep it private.
