TUCSON, Ariz. (AP) -Todd Helton hit a two-run homer and Ryan Spilborghs had a run-scoring double to help the Colorado Rockies beat the San Diego Padres 4-2 on Sunday for their third straight win.
Helton’s 450-feet homer came in his first plate appearance of the spring after having offseason back surgery.
Greg Reynolds, subbing for Greg Smith (flu-like symptoms), allowed five hits in four scoreless innings for the Rockies.
San Diego’s Matt Antonelli went 2-for-4 with a double and an RBI.
