Gordon Beckham, playing his first game at second base, added two hits and scored twice from the leadoff spot for Chicago. Normally a shortstop, Beckham was selected eighth overall by the White Sox in last year’s amateur draft.
Anderson, who has struggled at the plate this spring, hit a long homer to left field leading off the fourth inning. Fields added two RBIs, Alexei Ramirez also knocked in two runs and Brandon Allen was 4-for-4 with two RBIs.
Wes Whisler started for Chicago and struck out four in two scoreless innings. He gave up two hits and walked one.
