LOS ANGELES (AP) -Right-hander Jeff Weaver agreed to a minor-league deal with the Los Angeles Dodgers on Monday after taking last season off.
Weaver, who played for the Dodgers in 2004-2005, is 93-114 with a 4.72 ERA in nine seasons. He has played in four postseasons, winning the clinching Game 5 of the 2006 World Series for the St. Louis Cardinals.
He signed with the Seattle Mariners in 2007 and struggled with a 7-13 record and 6.20 ERA.
Weaver was 27-24 with a 4.11 ERA in his previous stint with the Dodgers.
Weaver also has pitched for Detroit (1999-2002), the New York Yankees (2002-03) and the Los Angeles Angels (2006).
