KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) -Right-hander Zack Greinke and outfielder Mark Teahen agreed Thursday to one-year deals with the Kansas City Royals, getting the team’s final two arbitration-eligible players under contract for 2008.
The 24-year-old Greinke agreed at $1.4 million and can earn $125,000 in performance bonuses: $25,000 each for 160, 175 and 190 innings, and $50,000 for 215 innings.
Greinke was 7-7 with a 3.69 ERA in 52 appearances, including 14 starts. His 2.42 ERA after the All-Star break was third-best in the majors for pitchers with a minimum of 50 innings.
He made $407,000 last year and had asked for $1.8 million in arbitration. Kansas City had offered $1.15 million.

Teahen had asked for $2.9 million and had been offered $1.9 million. He made $416,000 last year.
