SECAUCUS, N.J. (AP) -New Jersey Gov. Jon S. Corzine is scheduled to join officials of Major League Baseball for the dedication of a street outside the Secaucus studios of baseball’s new cable television network.
The street will be designated “MLB Network Plaza” in a ceremony celebrating the launch of the network last month. It reaches roughly 50 million homes.
MLB renovated the 140,000 square-foot facility housing the studios last year. It was previously occupied by the cable news network MSNBC, which moved across the Hudson River to Manhattan.
Among those scheduled to attend Tuesday’s ceremony are Secaucus Mayor Dennis Elwell and Bob DuPuy, Major League Baseball’s president and chief operating officer.
