SAN DIEGO (AP) -Outfielder Jody Gerut agreed to a minor league contract with the San Diego Padres on Monday.
If he's added to the 40-man roster, Gerut would receive a $700,000, one-year contract and could make an additional $210,000 in performance bonuses based on plate appearances.
He missed the last two seasons due to a knee injury.
