SEATTLE (AP) -The Seattle Mariners agreed to minor league contracts Wednesday with 18-year-old Japanese right-hander Kenta Suda and 17-year-old Taiwanese righty Yao Wen Chang.
Suda and Chang are to join the Mariners at extended spring training in April. Suda pitched for the NOMO Baseball Club in Japan last year and lives in Osaka, Japan. Chang is a native of Taichung, Taiwan.
