The Chicago Cubs look to continue playing well when manager Lou Piniella returns from a four-game suspension Thursday night for the opener of a four-game series against the Atlanta Braves at Turner Field.

Chicago (25-32) beat Milwaukee 6-2 Wednesday to take two of three from the Brewers and improve to 3-1 under bench coach Alan Trammell, who filled in while Piniella was suspended for making contact with an umpire during an argument in a 5-3 loss to the Braves on Saturday at Wrigley Field.

The Atlanta Braves look to get their struggling lineup untracked Wednesday night when they try for a split of a four-game set with the Florida Marlins.

Atlanta (33-26) and Florida (29-31) split Tuesday's doubleheader, but the Braves continue to struggle with their bats. They didn't get a hit until the seventh inning in a 5-1 loss in the nightcap after not scoring for the first six innings of a 3-1 victory in the opener.
